I am having an extremely low energy day today! Ugh. I think using that exclamation point just about did me in.
Next week I'll have bloodwork done again to see where my iron levels are at, after having all the IV infusions. Here's my current Weird Medical Issue - my left wrist. It has been getting increasingly more painful ever since my last IV treatment, last Wednesday. I didn't even get the IV in my wrist this time - it was in the back of that hand. Go figure?
I have an eye exam tomorrow morning, so yay! I can finally get new glasses. I have been living with broken glasses for about two years, now. The frame surrounding the right lens is broken at the top - repeated attempts to repair with 23,402 different types of glue have failed miserably. I can't even take a sweater off over my head without it catching and losing the lens - it never fails. I have a dentist appointment on Wednesday morning - let's see if he can fuck up my teeeth even more - woo!
I just want to run away to a tropical island with no medical facilities of any kind. Okay, just for a little while.
Okay, enough whining.
I need to take photos of the doll I finished the other night. It's for a goddess-themed swap on swapbot.. The religion my swap partner is involved in is Ifa, which, coincidentally, is something I've been reading up on lately. The ocean goddess Yemonja is the orisha that is most meaningful to her, so I created a Yemonja doll for her, and I'm REALLY happy with the way it turned out.
I love swapbot. I get so excited when I hear the mailbox every afternoon - goodies! I love sending out packages as much as I love receiving them, if not more.
In addition to the goddess swap package that is off to Florida today, I'm also sending off three little birdie quilts (for a handmade items swap), a handpainted maneki neko (lucky cat) t-shirt and other items for a maneki neko swap, a tiny handmade fabric box stuffed with tiny goodies for a swap entitled "my tiny box of joy", and a tiny stuffed bird for a private swap,
I went to three different places today trying to find the new issue of Art Doll Quarterly, but nobody had the new one. I'm really hoping that the little doll I sent them back in November might finally have made its way into the magazine. I know they received it, but I haven't heard anything from them since. It wasn't in the spring issue. I included $10 for return postage, and it has not made its way back here yet, so here's hoping!
