Okay, so I just signed up here today!  Woo.

I've been looking for an easy way to blog, and I think I've found it.

I really love the painting above - it was a lot of fun to create.  It will be for sale in my etsy shop in a week or two (if not sold beforehand - it is currently on display and for sale in a local vintage boutique where I am the featured artist of the month).

I'm trying to work up enough energy to wash my hair before I have to walk over and pick up the kiddo at preschool.  The energy thing is a little complicated - I'm currently severely anemic, and have virtually NO stored iron.  I will be getting my fifth IV iron infusion treatment on Wednesday.  I can no longer absorb iron orally - I had weight loss surgery nine years ago, and this is one of the problems I've ended up with.  I did lose 150 lbs, but I'm still trying to decide if it was worth it. 

I discovered swapbot recently, and oh, is it fun!  This (blurry-ass) photo is stuff I sent for a rabbit-themed swap (duh).













I made this little bag for the "handmade bag of stuff" swap. I love the way it turned out, and didn't particularly want to part with it!  I was glad to hear that the recipient liked it though, as well as all of the goodies I stuffed into it!






This is my little boy Dusty, and my little calico cat Zoe.  These two have a bit of a love-hate relationship.  I love this photo of the two of them.
